It goes without saying that most every household has toothpaste lying around. We hope you are never without an ample supply of toothpaste to brush your pearly whites two times a day, every day. We have some fun facts and useful tips for the extra tube of toothpaste lying in your bathroom cabinet!

Toothpaste can be used to remove stains from clothing and carpets. For clothing stains rub a small amount of toothpaste on the stain and gently rub until gone. Rinse spot under water and wash the garment as suggested. For carpet stains you can rub toothpaste into the stain with a stiff brush and rinse with clean cool water immediately.

Gently rubbing toothpaste on a minor burn will help alleviate the pain and help provide burn relief. Toothpaste helps reduce irritation from bug bites and small blisters. Toothpaste can help dry out acne and blemishes by placing a small amount of toothpaste a trouble spot at night before bed.

Here are some tips for your hands! Do you have dull fingernails? Brushing fingernails with a soft toothbrush and small toothpaste will buff and shine dull nails. Do you cook a lot with onions, garlic or fish? Wash your hands and fingers with toothpaste to simply wash away the stinky smell!

Toothpaste is great at cleaning dirty sneakers or running shoes. Try rubbing a small amount of toothpaste on shoe soles using a old toothbrush or cleaning brush. Toothpaste will clean away the dirt and stains on rubber soles. Do you have a toddler that thinks he’s a budding artist? A warm damp washcloth with a little toothpaste can wipe crayons marks off painted walls! Toothpaste is excellent for cleaning silver jewelry! Be sure to use a soft bristled brush or soft cotton cloth when cleaning silver. There is no need to buy expensive jewelry cleaner; toothpaste is great for cleaning diamonds rings, again using a soft bristled brush.

A small amount of toothpaste on a damp lint free cloth is all you need to effectively clean piano keys. Toothpaste can be used to remove the burnt crust that builds up on clothes irons. Are you ready to swim this summer? To prevent your goggles from fogging simply rub a small dab of toothpaste on swimming goggles and rinse off with water.

Next time you have that small amount of toothpaste left in the tube, don’t throw it away you may just need it to save the day!
